What is an NVQ Diploma?
A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) is a work based qualification which assess the skills and knowledge people have and need to perform their job role effectively.

What support is given to the trainees?
An appointed Assessor will visit the trainee at pre-arranged, regular intervals and will assign personalized action plans of work to complete. They are also contactable in between visits, for any help and advice that may be required.
When and where is the training done?
Training is delivered at the trainees place of work, meaning you don't lose your workforce for a day. Training Workshops can be delivered at your place of work and also at various locations around the country to such you.
What are the benefits of completing an NVQ Diploma?
An NVQ Diploma establishes good all round knowledge, understanding and confidence in the job the trainee is required to do.
What is the situation for employees aged 25 and over?
TFT are now able to fund anyone of any age, enabling them to do a NVQ Diploma or Certificate. There were some previous restrictions, however these have now lifted following on from the end of Train to Gain. Any candidate 25 years or over are now able to undertake a fully funded NVQ Apprenticeship, however the full Apprenticeship framework is now required to be completed.

What is a work-based programme?
Our programmes are built around a National Vocational Qualification Diploma (NVQ) which is a work based qualification which assess the skills and knowledge people have and need to perform their job role effectively.
Is it really FREE?
Yes!! Our programmes are funded by the Government and is therefore available FREE of charge to any of your employees of any age. Each candidate must be a British Citizen, or if they are an EU national, who have lived in the UK for 3 years or longer, these people can also receive Government Funding for their Qualification.
What does a work based qualification involve?
Learners will build a portfolio of work-based evidence which includes observations, product evidence, witness testimonies, questions and answers and discussion. They may also complete multiple choice exams, assignments and training days.
What support is given to the learners?
An appointed Assessor will visit your people at their place of work at pre-arranged, regular intervals and will assign personalised action plans of work to complete. They are also contactable in between visits, for any help and advice that may be required. Learners whose programme includes training days will also have contact with their trainer for support before and after the session. All our learners also have access to our OLLIE courses available on-line in a secure password protected environment.

We will then develop a proposal for you.
What would my account manager do?
You will have a dedicated account manager who will be responsible for monitoring your staff’s progress on their programmes and also managing your expectations and satisfaction. They are available by email and telephone during business hours to answer any questions you may have. They will also call or email you to discuss the programmes we are delivering for you on a monthly basis to see if we can improve the service we give you, as well as letting you know about any new offers or programmes we introduce.
Do I need to contact the Government or Awarding Bodies?
No. Training For Travel access the Government Funding on your behalf and are accredited centres with all our awarding bodies. As such we will be responsible for registration, claiming and certification on your behalf, in line with the quality requirements of our Governing Bodies.
What happens if I make a redundancy or a person cannot complete their programme?
Where possible, we ask that we have as much notice as possible of any people who will be leaving your business and our programme so that we can use our resources to try and facilitate the completion of their programme beforehand. We do, however, appreciate that this is not always a possibility in such a fast changing environment and so there are no penalties under such circumstances.
Who monitors Training For Travel?
Training For Travel undergo strict quality checks from the Learning and Skills Council, our Awarding Bodies; City and Guilds, Edexcel and the Institute of Leadership and Management and we are also regularly inspected by OFSTED.
