NVQ Programme Overviews

Our work-based qualifications are all Government Funded and lead to a Nationally recognised qualifications. These vocational qualifications are a great way for your people to gain recognition for the work they do and also boost morale and motive them to learn more and develop.

These qualifications are all delivered by a personal TFT assessor who will visit your people on your premises, at a time to suit your business. Our staff have hands on travel experience as well as training qualifications so you can rest assured that your people are in safe hands.

To gain the qualification, learners must prove they can perform their role knowledgably, competently and efficiently. The qualifications are made up of units, written specifically for the travel industry and you will select those units most relevant to your people and your business, so the programmes really are tailor-made for you. These units are then assessed through observation, feedback and discussion so that assessment is quick and unobtrusive.

In addition to these units, each programme includes some enhancements which will consist of online multiple choice exams or assignments. This will confirm learners’ underpinning knowledge of their role and the industry and will also develop Communication and Number skills if required. Training For Travel will always encourage their learners to unlock their own potential by supporting them if they choose to complete Skills for Life at a higher level. For example, if learners are working towards an NVQ at level 2 which requires Skills for life at level 1, and feel they have the potential to up skill to level 2, then Training For Travel would welcome and support this.

Programmes last between 7 and 10 months, depending on the experience of the learner with all programmes built around the individual so that everyone works at a pace they are comfortable with.
