This qualification provides the knowledge and training in order for the learner to potentially become a sales consultant. It covers areas such as destination training, key selling points of various resorts and selling skills.

On completion of the above award, a learner may progress onto Travel and Tourism/Travel Services Level 3.

Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) (AA)

NVQ in Travel and Tourism/Travel Services at Level 3
Technical Certificate: Worldwide Travel Level 3, UK Destinations and Insurance exam
Key Skills: Application Of Number Level 2, Communication Level 2

This qualification provides more in-depth knowledge and training and at a higher Level. It covers topics such as product training, more long-haul destinations, advanced selling techniques and tailor-made holidays. On completion, the learner potentially could become a senior sales consultant, team leader or an assistant manager.

On completion of the above, a learner could progress onto a Management NVQ.

Customer Service

Technical Certificate: BTEC award in Customer Service Level 2 or 4 additional units from another NVQ (that you may have already completed in the past)
Key Skills: Application of Number Level 1, Communication Level 1

This qualification provides knowledge and training in customer service. It focuses on providing excellent customer service for all customers. This is a generic award and recognised in industry. On completion, a learner could become a sales consultant in a number of sectors within the travel industry.

Key Skills: Application of Number Level 2, Communication Level 2

This qualification provides knowledge and training at a higher Level within customer service. It not only focuses on providing excellent customer service but on how to deal with complaints and keep customers happy at all times. Again, this is a generic award and recognised in all industry. On completion, a learner could become a senior sales consultant, team leader or even a customer services manager.

On completion, a learner could progress onto a management NVQ.

Note: Any staff undertaking a Customer Service NVQ Level 2 in place of Travel and Tourism would need to take the path of 4 additional units for the Technical Certificate (these units need to be taken from the Travel and Tourism NVQ)
